Spinning Rods

Pictured below is my daughter Jennifer Miles-Brown with a 6 lb. 7 oz. smallmouth and a 6 lb. 8 oz. largemouth. Both were caught on the Hugh Harville 4" Sassy Shad. Jenny also caught a 5 lb. 3 oz. smallie that same day. Jenny was using a 6'3" spinning rod in a 3 power with a Tennessee Handle. It was late March on Pickwick Lake on the Tennessee side. It's her first fish over 5 lbs.
What a day! She caught one fish over 5 lbs. and two fish over 6 lbs.

The Tennessee Handle is the most sensitive and comfortable to use. You can position the reel at any part on the handle. It is wonderful to use in cold weather.

These handles are built with ½ in. and 1 in. rings and
bonded to the blank then turned down to the proper size.

The fixed seat handles are not as sensitive or
comfortable, but you can change reels easily.

caught on live bait at
Nickajack Lake at Chattanooga, Tennessee.

It is so important to be able to feel those subtle or sluggish strikes and
also the structure and bottom.

I build a special series of spinning rods called the
E. Scott Yarbro Smallmouth Special.

They are 6' 3" in length and 3 power in action.
They have a split handle with the Fuji Cermet guides and hook keeper.
They are serial numbered and feature a 13" handle.
